Upskilling Workshop – Milking and Mastitis

Find out the “Why?” behind the milking routine, after this interactive workshop you will understand how the cow’s udder and milking parlour work together to milk her efficiently and with minimal risk of teat damage and bacteria entering the udder.  You will learn the importance of a good, hygienic milking routine and how to detect and prevent mastitis cases.  The theory part will be covered in the village hall before we head out to a local dairy farm to observe their milking routine.  Clean wellies essential.
